Article body
Cedomir Djoincevic has been linked with Prva Savezna Liga side FK Zemun after resigning as coach at FK Vojvodina.
Close to family
Djoincevic admitted that his decision to leave the provisional side was based in part on a desire to be close to his family who live in Belgrade. He said: "Novi Sad is quite a distance from Belgrade and I do not want to leave my family for long periods."
Left on good terms
Djoincevic claimed that he had left Vojvodina on good terms. He said: "The club and I parted as friends and there was a clause in my contract which allowed me to leave if a better offer came along - and I believe a move to Zemun will be better."
Contract terminated
Zemun had already terminated the contract of coach Mihajlo Ivanovic ahead of the winter break. He said: "I was very satisfied with my work. In the past two decades I have coached clubs from lower divisions and it was an honour to take charge of a top side.
Ivanovic disappointed
However, Ivanovic could not hide his disappointment, believing that he could have achieved success with the mid-table side. He said: "I was convinced there was space for me at Zemun, but I have accepted the decision of the club."
