Late withdrawal
The 25-year-old had been expected to make his first appearance of the season in the Premier League match at leaders Sliema Wanderers FC on Saturday but now faces between six and eight weeks on the sidelines with a ligament problem.
Sigh of relief
Although the injury is to his left knee, tests revealed no damage to the cruciate ligament which was operated on seven months ago. Zahra has not played since. "There was a sigh of relief at the club when we heard the outcome of the tests," a Birkirkara spokesman said. The Ta' Qali club lie fourth in the table, four points behind Sliema.
