Article body
Andreas Möller put FC Schalke 04 on the road to their sixth German Bundesliga victory of the season against VfL Bochum 1848 on Sunday.
Asamoah seals it
The former German international scored three minutes after half-time before Gerald Asamoah, a member of Rudi Völler's current squad, added the second goal on 86 minutes to help Shalke climb up to fourth in the table.
Late drama
In the day's only other game, 1. FC Kaiserslautern suffered a painful defeat at the hands of SV Werder Bremen, who climbed up to third in the table. Eric Geret's side had opened up a 3-1 lead but Miroslav Klose's own goal and a Goncalves Ailton strike levelled the scores and Bremen added two more in the last three minutes through Ailton and Ivan Klasnic to complete 5-3 reverse for Kaiserslautern, who had Ciriaco Sforza sent off for two bookable offences just three first-half minutes apart.
