Former Soviet international Zaur Svanadze has taken over as coach of FC Lokomotiv Tbilisi following their 7-2 aggegate defeat by FC København in the UEFA Cup qualifying round.
Kotrikadze stays at club
Former coach Sergo Kotrikdaze resigned after the defeat but has remained at the club to work as goalkeeping coach with Svanadze, previously his assistant, taking charge of the team, although the move may not be permanent.

"We are still looking for a foreign coach, but if Svanadze shows good results, he might stay on," said Lokomotiv chairman Akaki Chkhaidze. Svanadze, a former FC Dinamo Tbilisi player, won the UEFA Cup Winners' Cup with Dinamo in 1981.
