Autumn date for coaching summit

National team coaches from Europe's 52 national associations will attend a high-profile UEFA gathering in Warsaw in the autumn.

Various issues
The fifth UEFA Conference for European National Coaches, which takes place in the Polish capital between 23 and 25 September, will examine a variety of issues relating to European and world football as seen through the eyes of the coaching and technical sectors.

Exchange of views
European football's governing body brings together the continent's national team coaches for a comprehensive exchange of views after each major tournament. The recent FIFA World Cup in Korea/Japan will therefore be taking pride of place in Warsaw.

Overall review
Numerous aspects of the month-long tournament in the Far East will come under the spotlight. They include an overall review of coaching experiences and technical topics, focus on successful coaches, an analysis of goals scored, and a review of the activities undertaken by the technical study group appointed to analyse the competition.

Discussion groups
The coaches will hear presentations from guest speakers, look at World Cup issues in discussion groups and exchange views on future developments in the game in the wake of events on and off the field in Korea/Japan. They will also take a first look ahead to EURO 2004™ in Portugal in two years' time.

Prominent counterparts
The European national team coaches will be joined by prominent counterparts from other continents, as well as members of the UEFA Committee for Technical Development Committee and Jira Project panel - the two UEFA bodies working in football's technical and coaching sector.
