Article body
The Football Association in England is organising an autumn seminar to explain how to successfully manage a national football association.
Inaugural workshop
The FA stages its inaugural International Football Administration Workshop from 21–25 October at the Burleigh Court Conference Centre at Loughborough, near Leicester in the English Midlands.
Wide programme
The workshop is open to overseas delegates with responsibility for football administration, and will focus on a wide range of elements that contribute to managing a national association and efficient strategic development of the game.
Strategic planning
"Effective planning underpins the success of any organisation," says The FA, "and football federations, clubs and other administrative bodies are no exception." Among the items on the agenda are human resources, finance, IT, strategic planning, marketing and sponsorship, and communications and PR.
Match visit
In addition to the five-day programme, visits will be arranged to a match, a club academy and an English regional County Football Association. The FA says that delegates should have a good command of the English language, as the course will be conducted in English only.
