World Cup experience
The Republic of Ireland striker, who scored three goals at the 2002 FIFA World Cup finals, would virtually be guaranteed regular first-team football at the Stadium of Light after more often than not finding himself among the substitutes at Leeds.
'Happy at Leeds'
However, Keane is quoted on the official Leeds website as saying: "I do not want to speak to any other club. I am happy at Leeds and am confident that I can impress any new manager with my ability and commitment."
Teenage sensation
Dublin-born Keane has played 37 times for Ireland, scoring 13 goals. He has long been rated as one of the most talented young strikers in the English top flight after making his debut for Coventry City FC as a teenager.
Permanent deal
His fine performances for Coventry quickly earned him a move to Serie A side Internazionale FC but he returned to England permanently with Leeds after a spell on loan for €18.5m.
Looking for a manager
Meanwhile, Leeds are still looking for a new manager following the departure of Irishman David O'Leary last week.
