Article body
FC Lokomotiv Moscow continued their fine form in the Russian Premier-Liga, as they beat Uralan Elista 1-0 on Friday to remain at the summit.
New stadium
Dmitri Semochko's own goal decided the game in favour of the home side, who were playing their first game at their brand-new 30,000 Lokomotiv Arena. In the 30-degree heat in Moscow, a cautious first half saw few chances for either sides. However, Uralan skipper Vladimir Kazakov was sent off seconds before half-time for a second bookable offence.
Semochko surprise
After the interval, Lokomotiv turned the pressure on, and dominated the game - although they still failed to create many chances. However the game was settled in their favour when Semochko tried to clear a cross from the left in the Uralan box, but was shocked to see his clearance sail into the top left-hand corner of the goal.
