Belarus round-up: Borisov go top

FC BATE Borisov beat FC Dnepr-Transmash Mogilev 2-0 to go top of the Belarussian league in the last match of the first half of the season today.

Goncharik opener
After an even first half with few chances for either sides, Borisov moved up a gear after the interval. Artyom Goncharik was on target on an hour, and five minutes later Sergey Mironchik doubled the lead.

Borisov edge ahead
The result sees Borisov, who defeated TSV 1860 München 1-0 in the first leg of their UEFA Intertoto Cup second-round tie last week, move to the top of the division, edging ahead of FC Neman Grodno on goal difference.
