Champions FC Spartak Moscow were held to a 2-2 draw at FC Shinnik Yaroslavl today.

Crowd trouble
In a match marred by clashes between police and supporters, Spartak failed to close the gap on current Russian Premier-Liga leaders FC Lokomotiv Moscow and remain in third place with 30 points from 16 games.

Penalty equaliser
Teenage striker Dmitry Kudryashov opened the scoring for Spartak with a simple tap-in after being set up by Vladimir Beschastnykh after 41 minutes, but Shinnik were on level terms three minutes later as Dmitry Khomukha scored from the penalty spot.

Two for Kudryashov
After 53 minutes, the home side took the lead with Rakhmatullo Fuzailov scoring with a tremendous 25-metre strike, but 19-year-old Kudryashov - playing in place of the injured Dmitri Sychev - equalised with a long-range effort of his own with 20 minutes to go.

Seven in seven
In Elista, a hat-trick by Aleksandr Kerzhakov - the Premier-Liga's leading scorer this season - could only earn FC Zenit St. Petersburg a 3-3 draw against home side Uralan Elista. Kerzhakov struck in the 19th, 45th and 87th minutes to bring his tally for the season to 13 goals and the 19-year-old striker has now scored in seven straight games to equal the league record.
