Sokol receive Belarussian injection

Russian Premier-Liga side FC Sokol Saratov have signed four FC Dinamo Minsk players as they aim to strengthen the squad and stave off relegation.

Belarus internationals
Dinamo captain Aleksandr Khrapkovskiy has been joined by Belarus international players Petr Kachuro and Vitaly Volodenkov, as well as defender Artem Chelyadinskiy in making the move to the Russian side.

Three-year deal for Kachuro
Forward Kachuro, 29, who has played for Sheffield Wednesday FC in England, has signed a three-year deal, while Khrapkovskiy and Volodenkov, who only recently started to play for Belarus, have signed two-year contracts. Chelyadinskiy, meanwhile, has agreed to a two-and-a-half-year contract.

Bottom of the table
Sokol, who have recently brought in Leonid Tkachenko to replace departed head coach Alexander Koreshkov, are bottom of the Russian league, with only five points from 12 games. The Belarussian quartet are expected to bring some much-needed energy to the beleaguered squad.

Vasilyuk negotiations
Dinamo will certainly feel the impact of the massive move and the club has also announced that they are in negotiations to loan Belarus international Roman Vasilyuk from FC Spartak Moscow. The forward, most famous for scoring four times against Poland in a 2002 FIFA World Cup qualifier, struck 85 goals in five seasons in Belarus with FC Slavia Mozyr and FC Dinamo Brest.
