Resignations mean FC Molodechno 2000 and Torpedo-MAZ Minsk are both looking for new coaches.

Sergey Frantsev has resigned as coach of Torpedo-MAZ Minsk, while FC Molodechno 2000, their Belarussian first division rivals, are also looking for a new trainer after Liudas Rumbutis relinquished his position.

Shock decision
With Torpedo currently sitting third in the Belarussian championship at the midway point, Frantsev's decision to leave has come as something of a shock. Frantsev, who is to return to Russia to coach FC Dinamo St.Petersburg, said: "I know it is a step back professionally, but I am from St.Petersburg and the club is close to me."

Borovskiy steps up
Sergey Borovskiy, Frantsev's assistant, has stepped up to take charge of the first team. A former coach of Belarus, FK Ventspils in Latvia and Moldovan side FC Sheriff Tiraspol, Borovskiy said of the challenge facing him: "If results go as planned we will stay in the top three. We will aim to continue the way we have been playing."

'Tired of this challenge'
Borovskiy has also previously taken charge of Molodechno, who are on the hunt for a new man following Rumbutis's resignation. "I am tired of this challenge," he said. "The team has no financial backing and therefore no money to buy new players. I have become disillusioned and am leaving the club." Former FC Dinamo Minsk player Alexander Kistenj is tipped to take over.
