Trabzonspor have signed Korean Republic international midfield player Lee Eul-Yong from K-League side Bucheon SK.
One-year contract
The 26-year-old has signed a one-year contract with the Turkish club, who have paid €1.5m for him. A part of his fee will be covered by the Samsung company in exchange for an advertising deal.
World Cup experience
Lee is regarded as one of the most technically gifted players in Korea, having made 25 international appearances and scored one goal. He made his international debut in 1999 against Brazil, and more recently, he played four games for the national team in the 2002 FIFA World Cup finals and scored with a brilliant free-kick against Turkey.
’A big help’
The left-sided player joined Bucheon in 1998 and has made over 100 appearances for his club. "Lee is exactly the player that what we were looking for." Trabzonspor coach Samet Aybaba said. "He is quick, pacy and has a good technique. He is going to be a big help for us."
