Stade Rennais FC midfield player Christophe Le Roux has returned to En Avant Guingamp where he has signed a two-year contract.
Young striker
Guingamp, who narrowly avoided relegation last season, have also signed Le Roux's team-mate at Rennes, Gael Danic. The 20-year-old striker, who has made only 22 appearances for Rennes in the past two seasons won the UEFA European Under-18 Championship with France in 2000.
'Relieved to be back'
The 33-year-old Le Roux started his career with Guingamp before joining FC Lorient in 1994. In 1996 he joined FC Nantes Atlantique and made his debut in the French first division before moving to Rennes in 1999. He has played 159 first division matches and scored 31 goals. "I am relieved to be back at Guingamp with [new coach] Bertrand Marchand who really wanted to sign me," Le Roux said.
