Dinamo Moscow ended their poor run of form with a morale boosting 2-0 win at city rivals FC Torpedo-ZIL Moscow today.

Khorniak free-kick
A string of three successive defeats had left Dinamo second-from-bottom in the table before today's match, but they quickly put their problems behind them to score the opening goal after only five minutes. Zholt Khorniak scored Dinamo's first goal in three games with a 20-metre free-kick.

Sucker punch
After 17 minutes Andrei Kobelev almost doubled the lead when his curling corner struck the crossbar. Torpedo-ZIL fought their way back into the game after the break but they were caught on the counter by Dinamo, when Aleksandr Panov fed Aleksandr Tochilin who fired the ball into the top corner from 20 metres out.
