Moldova round-up: Sheriff shoot down Tiligul

FC Sheriff Tiraspol beat city rivals FC Tiligul Tiraspol 3-0 today.

Unassailable lead
Sheriff were confirmed as league champions last weekend and now have an 18-point lead at the top of the table with five games left to play.

First-half goals
Sheriff had the game all but wrapped up by half-time, as goals from Andriy Nesteruk, Ruslan Barburos, and Eugen Patula put the game beyond the visitors. Double chance Next Wednesday Sheriff have the chance to complete their second successive double when they take on FC Nistru Otaci in the Moldovan Cup final.

Two late goals
Nistru warmed up for that encounter with a 2-1 win over FC Agro Chisinau. But they left it late, scoring twice in the final six minutes through Alexander Maliitskiy, after Ovik Galstean had given Agro a third-minute lead.
