Seven-point gap
The reigning champions went into the fixture just four points ahead, but they extended their lead to seven with their win, as their only challengers NK Široki Brijeg fell to a 2-1 defeat at Zeljeznicar’s third-placed city rivals and cup final opponents FK Sarajevo.
Home victories
All the other sides in the top seven picked up home victories to retain at least slim hopes of claiming the runners-up spot and a UEFA Cup place. NK Brotnjo beat NK Olimpik Sarajevo 3-0, NK Orašje overcame bottom-placed NK Iskra 1-0, HŠK Zrinjski won 1-0 against NK Bosna and NK Celik defeated NK Jedinstvo 2-0.
Troglav overtake Grude
NK Troglav moved out of the bottom two with a 2-1 win over FK Velez, with NK Grude dropping back having lost 1-0 at FK Sloboda Tuzla. There are now three rounds of matches to go.
