PFC Beroe were relegated from the A PFG after drawing 0-0 with PFC Lokomotiv Sofia.
Beroe doomed
Beroe needed a win to have even a slight chance of avoiding relegation, but they missed too many chances in a game full of goalscoring opportunities. Ivan Tanchovski went close for Beroe, while Lokomotiv hit the crossbar in the second half.
Joy for Pleven
In Pleven, PFC Spartak Pleven beat PFC Spartak Varna 1-0 in a match of vital importance for both teams as they fight to avoid the drop. The home side started off better with Todor Kolev and Georgi Georgiev both going close. Eventually the pair combined to set up Kolev in the 26th minute and he calmly slotted what proved to be the only goal of the game.
Three red cards
In the 32nd minute the situation worsened for Varna when Ivan Krizmanich was sent off for a second bookable offence but in the second half the pressure of the match told as Spartak were left hanging on with just nine men after Ionko Peikov and then Kolev were sent off.
Cherno find home comforts
In Sevlievo, PFC Cherno More played their first home game since the imposition of a six-game home match ban because of crowd problems, and came away with a 2-0 win against PFC Marek. Despite the neutral venue Cherno had few problems and cruised to the win with goals from Steliyan Popchev and Daniel Atanasov on 40 and 48 minutes. It also finished 2-0 between PFC Belasitsa and PFC Chernomorets Burgas.
