Article body
PFC Spartak Pleven and PFC Belasitsa have joined PFC Beroe as the sides relegated from the A PFG.
Exciting end
In tonight's exciting climax to the season, five teams were battling against the drop, but in the end that fate befell Pleven and Belasitsa, who ironically faced each other with Pleven running out 2-0 winners.
Scant consolation
Dragan Mateich put the home side ahead after 25 minutes and Martin Kamburov doubled their advantage three minutes before half-time to give Pleven the win, but it was scant consolation as fellow strugglers PFC Cherno More pulled off a surprise 2-1 victory at PFC Lokomotiv Sofia.
Cherno saved
Radoslav Ivanov put Lokomotiv ahead after eleven minutes only for Kristiyan Dobrev to equalise for the visitors just after the break. Stanislav Stoyanov struck the winner on 63 minutes to
ensure his side ended fourth from bottom and safe.
Three drop down
The results left Belasitsa second bottom and Plaven one place above, meaning both clubs joined Beroe - who lost 3-0 at home to PFC Chernomorets Burgas - in the second division next season. In the other match PFC Spartak Varna beat PFC Marek 2-1.
