Article body
NK Varteks are looking to win their first Croatian Cup tonight when they face holders NK Dinamo Zagreb at home in the second leg of the final, with the score tied at 1-1 from the first encounter.
Pressure on Varteks
"The result from the first leg puts pressure on us," said Varteks captain Miljenko Mumlek. "We still have not won and there are 90 minutes of great battle and uncertainty ahead of us so we will also need huge support from the spectators. Dinamo are strong, but they are also aware that we want this trophy."
Coach criticised
Last weekend Dinamo and Varteks faced each other in a league match in Zagreb which Dinamo won 5-0, but this was mostly due to the Varteks coach Branko Janzek's decision to field a second-choice side - a move which was heavily criticised by their opponents.
Vlak comments
"It is hard to say how much Varteks will benefit from resting of the players on Saturday, but the fact is that we are ready to win the Cup," said Dinamo coach Marijan Vlak. "We know we are facing highly-motivated opponents, and we must not show any fear or we stand no chance. But in last two meetings we showed that we are not the weaker team."
Injury news
Vlak also revealed that his injured players Goce Sedloski, Damir Krznar and Kristijan Polovanec would all be fit for the match. Meanwhile Dinamo will be without injured Ivan Landeka and Dario Smoje.
