Article body
Former AC Venezia and Hellas-Verona FC boss Cesare Prandelli is to become Parma AC's fourth coach since October.
Fourth coach
The club's official website has announced that the 44-year-old will take over from Pietro Gedeone Carmignani, who stepped into the breach late last year following the sacking of Daniel Passarella just over a month after the Argentinian had replaced Renzo Ulivieri.
Backroom role
Carmignani is expected to return to the backroom role he abandoned before saving Parma from relegation and winning the Coppa Italia last Friday against Juventus FC.
Coaching credentials
Prandelli won three Serie A titles and the European Champion Clubs' Cup as a player with Juventus FC and led AC Venezia into Serie A in 2001 but was dismissed last October. His other previous clubs include Atalanta BC and US Lecce.
