Article body
FK Vardar clinched the F.Y.R. Macedonian title for the first time since 1995 tonight after a 2-0 victory over deposed champions FK Sloga Jugomagnat.
Ristovski double
Vardar went into the match knowing that nothing less than three points would do as second-placed FK Belasica GC had an easy-looking home fixture against FK Rabotnicki, who were bottom of the championship play-off group. Two goals from Dejan Ristovski were enough to seal the victory and Vardar's fourth league title.
Pobeda's repeat dose
Belasica finished a point behind after beating Rabotnicki 2-1 thanks to goals from Ljubisa Nikolic and Toni Atanasov. In the other match in the championship play-offs, FK Pobeda were 7-3 winners FK Cementarnica 55 - the team they beat in last week's cup final - but the latter still ended the campaign in third spot.
Makedonija relegated
In the relegation play-offs FK Makedonija Skopje will follow FK Osogova in dropping down a division after a goalless draw at home to FK Napredok left them second from bottom. Osogovo lost 3-2 at FK Sileks, who ended the season top of the six-team relegation group table. FK Kumanovo beat FK Pelister Bitola 5-3 in the day's other game.
