A late goal from Damir Cakar kept FK Partizan in pole position in the Prva Savezna Liga.
Article body
Partizan eight points clear
Cakar's breakaway effort flattered the away team, but was enough to restore their eight-point lead over FK Crvena Zvezda at the top of the Prva Savezna Liga. Crvena Zvezda were 3-0 winners against FK Radnicki Kragujevac yesterday.
Sartid too strong
Meanwhile, FK Sartid moved above FK Obilic and into third place with a 2-0 win against the Belgrade side in Smederevo. Nenad Mirosavljevic and Slavoljub Kizic were the scorers.
Zvezdara make point
FK Zvezdara gained an important point in their fight against relegation, drawing 1-1 at FK Vojvodina. It would have been more but for Igor Bogdanovic’s equaliser after Djordje Zafirovic had put the visitors ahead.
Zeta plus
FK Zeta thrashed FK Hajduk Kula 4-0 to leapfrog the Kula club and move up to fifth position. The goalscoring plaudits here went to Malesija Vojvoda with a brace, Dusan Radojevic and Dejan Batrovic.
Five-goal thriller
Elsewhere, the meeting of relegation-threatened FK Rudar Plevlja and FK Zemun proved anything but torrid. Dragan Jovic struck a hat-trick for the home side with Ilija Stolica replying for the visitors with two penalties and it finished 3-2.
Rock bottom
Mihajlo Vujacic’s solitary strike edged FK Zeleznik past FK Mladost Lucani, while FK Rad overcame FK Sutjeska by a similar margin. Finally, a goalless draw with OFK Beograd did nothing to boost bottom club FK Mladost Apatin’s hopes of avoiding the drop.
