The suspension comes into force for the game against Montpellier Hérault SC on 4 May, and follows crowd trouble at the Vélodrome during the matches against FC Sochaux-Montbéliard and Paris Saint-Germain FC. Three Marseille fans face one-month jail sentences for their part in the violence.

Meanwhile, police investigating irregular transfer dealings have interviewed the club's chairman Robert Louis-Dreyfus and players Abdoulaye Meïté and Fernandao.
