Entertaining game
With little left to play for, the two mid-table sides nonetheless played an entertaining game at the Stedelijk Sportstadion. Vit Valenta opened the scoring with a sensational long-range strike after 35 minutes and it was 2-0 to Charleroi ten minutes into the second half after Richard Culek headed a goal from a corner.
Tankary on target
Darko Pivaljevic gave the home fans hope when he reduced the deficit with his ninth goal of the campaign but Nigerian striker Ibrahim Tankary capped a superb away display for Enzo Scifo's Charleroi with the third goal five minutes from time.
