Sergei Yuran, whose career seems over following a head injury, is planning a farewell game between a Russian XI and a USSR XI.

Russian international Sergei Yuran is planning a farewell game after a head injury appears to have ended his career.

Career-ending injury
Yuran received the injury while playing for SK Sturm Graz in Austria and since it is unlikely that he will be able to play again, he is planning to hold an exhibition game as he bows out after a long career.

Experienced striker
The experienced striker has played for some of Europe's finest clubs in a long career including SL Benfica, FC Porto, FC Spartak Moscow and FC Dynamo Kyiv. He also made an impression at SC Fortuna Sittard, VfL Bochum 1848 and Millwall FC.

Exhibition game
Yuran is believed to be planning an exhibition game between the 1990s Russian side against a team of Soviet internationals from the 1980s. The striker was a regular member of the 1990s Russian squad, playing 25 internationals and scoring five goals. In addition he played 16 times for the combined USSR or CIS side. He was also a member of the Russian Under-21 side who triumphed at the 1990 UEFA European Under-21 Championship.
