Article body
FK Viktoria Zizkov got the second half of the Czech 1. liga season off to a fine start as they moved to the top of the league with a 3-1 defeat of FK Teplice at the Na Stínadlech stadium.
Back on terms
Zizkov did not let Radek Divecky's 15th-minute goal upset their rhythm and they were back on level terms eleven minutes later when Tomáš Oravec slotted the ball home following a superb long-range pass from Ludek Stracený.
Fine volley
Michal Smarda ensured the Prague club went in 2-1 ahead at the break when he drilled a fine volley into the back of the Teplice net in the 42nd minute. Kennedy Chihuri, a second-half substitute, secured the three points with Zizkov's third goal in the 68th minute.
Sparta second
The victory moves Zizkov a point ahead of champions AC Sparta Praha. The UEFA Champions League challengers face SK Hradec Králové at the weekend knowing a point will be enough to see them return to the top of the table.
