Rangers FC reached the semi-finals of the Scottish Cup with a 6-0 win against Forfar Athletic FC on Sunday.
Rangers in command
The second division outfit were comprehensively beaten by a Rangers side keen to get back to goalscoring action in time for the second leg of their UEFA Cup fourth-round tie with Feyenoord on Thursday after the first match at Ibrox ended 1-1.
4-0 by half-time
Billy Dodds opened the scoring after just 40 seconds as he turned home Shota Arveladze's pass, and two goals from Arveladze and an Andrei Kanchelskis effort had given the Scottish Premier League giants a 4-0 half-time lead.
Hat-trick for Dodds
The second half was all about Dodds. He scored his second goal of the afternoon after 61 minutes but looked set to be denied a hat-trick when he missed a penalty kick. However, a low drive in added time earned him the match ball and completed a morale-boosting rout for Rangers.
More cup action
Aberdeen FC face Rangers's Glasgow rivals Celtic FC on Monday night in the other semi-final.
