Saturday, December 22, 2001
Article summary
Paris Saint-Germain FC and FC Nantes Atlantique both won away from home in Le Championnat.
Article body
Paris Saint-Germain FC won away at FC Sochaux-Montbéliard on Saturday as icy weather blighted Le Championnat.
Power failure
PSG's 2-0 victory at Sochaux was twice interrupted by power failures, but that did not unnerve Laurent Leroy as he opened the scoring for the visitors on 38 minutes, nor Nigerian Bartholomew Ogbeche who latched on to Augustine Okocha's cross to make it two six minutes later.
Nantes off the bottom
Champions FC Nantes Atlantique moved off the foot of the table with a 1-0 win over ES Troyes Aube Champagne, Romanian Viorel Moldovan scoring the winner five minutes from time. Two goals from Henri Camara helped CS Sedan-Ardennes to a 2-1 win at En Avant Guingamp.
Matches postponed
Freezing weather in France caused the postponement of the games between AJ Auxerre and FC Lorient, Olympique Lyonnais and SC Bastia, and FC Metz and Montpellier Hérault SC.
