Verlinden to stay at Brugge

Veteran Club Brugge KV goalkeeper Danny Verlinden has secured another season with the Belgian first division club.

Verbal agreement
The 38-year-old has made a verbal agreement with Brugge coach Antoine Vanhove and is expected to sign a one-year extension to his contract next week.

Vast experience
Verlinden has played more than 500 games in the Belgian top flight, but has recently lost his first-team place to Slovenian Dejan Nemec. Brugge are reportedly keen to keep Verlinden on as a coach when he calls time on an illustrious career.
