Snow stopper
After heavy snow forced Levski’s game to be rescheduled, CSKA went above their city rivals on goal difference with a 2-1 win at FC Spartak Varna.
Quick free-kick
Iordan Lechkov opened the scoring in the 12th minute and Vladimir Manchev put CSKA further ahead after getting on the end of Lechkov's quickly-taken free-kick. Genadi Simeonov struck 12 minutes from time with a penalty but the visitors hung on to claim victory.
Beroe joy
Meanwhile, bottom club FC Beroe secured only their second league win of the season as they beat FC Cherno More 3-1. Krum Bibishkov scored twice for Beroe, either side of a Vanyo Shishkov strike, while Georgi Iliev got Cherno’s only goal.
Chernomorets on the up
Elsewhere, FC Chernomorets Burgas moved out of the relegation zone after beating local rivals FC Neftochimik 3-2 and FC Spartak Pleven beat FC Lokomotiv Sofia 2-0.
