Slovenian referee Damir Skomina will take charge of Friday's UEFA Super Cup match between Chelsea FC and Club Atlético de Madrid at the Stade Louis II in Monaco, with kick-off at 20.45CET.
The 36-year-old will be accompanied by Primoz Arhar and Matej Žunič, the assistant referees, with Bojan Ul acting as fourth official. Matej Jug and Slavko Vinčič complete the team as additional assistant referees.
Skomina has been an international referee since 2003 and has officiated at 75 UEFA matches in his refereeing career. Last season in the UEFA Champions League, Skomina handled one play-off game, three group stage matches, one fixture in the round of 16 and the quarter-final between Chelsea and SL Benfica. He was also assigned two UEFA Europa League games, including the semi-final between Valencia CF and Atlético.
This summer Skomina refereed the UEFA EURO 2012 group matches between Netherlands and Denmark, and Sweden and England, as well as Germany's quarter-final against Greece.
