Versatile player
The 25-year-old will become the third Romanian at the Russian club, joining fellow international defenders Gabriel Tamas and Adrian Iencsi. Soava is a versatile performer and can also play in a holding midfield position.
International class
Soava has been with Rapid since the 2001/02 season. He has been capped 14 times by his country. Although the financial details of the deal have not been confirmed, it is thought the player has cost Spartak a €1m fee.
