Young officials in Liechtenstein were given a chance to get together and hone their skills as part of the second annual Liechtenstein Football Association (LFV) referees' day.
Budding officials from the principality assembled on 12 November for a day of theoretical and practical education, with a Laws of the Game quiz giving the referees a chance to test their knowledge of the basic tenets of the game. A lecture was given on the Austrian Football Association (ÖFB) referee inspection system and Liechtenstein national team coach Hans-Peter Zaugg also addressed the delegates.
The LFV is eager to encourage young and talented referees to take their hobby to another level and qualify to officiate in higher leagues, with the hope that Liechtenstein can one day boast at least one UEFA referee.
