FC Pyunik have claimed their 14th championship with four matches to spare in the Armenian Premier League, four years after completing ten in a row.
Sargis Hovsepyan's side are in action on Sunday but were handed the title 24 hours early after their two rivals both slipped up. Ulisses FC drew 2-2 against Alashkert FC while third-placed FC Shirak could only share six goals with FC Gandzasar.
It leaves Pyunik seven points clear at the summit with two rounds to play (they also have two games in hand), and completes their second double having won the Armenian Cup on 6 May with a 3-1 victory over FC Mika.
Subject to confirmation from UEFA, Pyunik will enter the UEFA Champions League first qualifying round.
