Maniche ends brief Köln stay

1. FC Köln midfielder Maniche is to leave the club after just one season, during which he made 26 Bundesliga appearances. The 32-year-old's contract was cancelled by mutual consent on Sunday, leaving the former Portugal international free to return to his homeland. "We respect Maniche's wishes to return to Portugal with his family and have released him from his contract," said sporting director Michael Meier.
