Former Soviet Union and PFC CSKA Moskva striker Vladimir Fedotov died on Sunday aged 66.
Playing record
The son of football and ice hockey international Grigrori Fedotov, Vladimir made his name with CSKA, whom he represented between 1960 and 1975, making a league record 382 appearances, scoring 92 goals and helping them win the Soviet title in 1970. He was also capped 22 times by the Soviet Union, registering four goals.
Coaching career
Before hanging up his boots, Fedotov joined the CSKA coaching staff and was to manage a number of clubs across the former Soviet Union and surrounding countries. His biggest coaching success came in 1981 when he guided unheralded FC SKA Rostov to a Soviet Cup triumph. His last coaching role was with FC Spartak Moskva, whom he left in June 2007 to become FC Moskva sporting director, a position he held until last December.
