Dnipro sign Shakhtar pair

FC Dnipro Dnipropetrovsk have signed Ukrainian internationals Andriy Vorobey and Vyacheslav Sviderskiy from FC Shakhtar Donetsk as part of a deal that saw defender Volodymyr Yezerskiy move in the opposite direction.

Coming straight off the back of 30-year-old Yezerskiy's €1.2m transfer to Shakhtar, 28-year-old forward Vorobey, who has been capped 63 times by Ukraine and scored eight goals, has signed a three-year contract with UEFA Cup qualifiers Dnipro while the precise details of Sviderskiy's deal are unknown. Right-back Sviderskiy, who is also 28, has won 12 caps for his country and spent the last six months on loan at FC Chornomorets Odesa.
