Suspension and fine
The Football Association of Wales suspended Moran until 28 February, as well as fining him €375, and the player will also have to pay €3,750 in legal costs. Rhyl's marketing and media director Doug Mortimer said: "Moran was tested after our game at Afan Lido [FC] on 13 March by Sport UK. A number of weeks later we were told that the substance nandrolone had been discovered in his body.
Private tests
"We have carried out private medical tests ourselves on Andy and these have shown that nandrolone hadn't been taken intravenously by the player. We believe that Moran bought a food additive over the counter in a high street supplier and that nandrolone had been included in it."
Top scorer
The 24-year-old Moran was the Welsh league's top scorer last season when he scored 47 goals as Rhyl won four trophies. He sat out the UEFA Champions League first qualifying round tie against Skonto FC earlier this month, which the Latvians won 7-1 on aggregate.
