Prva liga experience
The 46-year-old, who has signed a two-year deal with the Belgrade club, returns to Serbia and Montenegro after spending last season at FK Borac Banjaluka, taking the team to the Bosnia-Herzegovina Cup final before losing to FK Modrica.
Previous clubs
Rakojevic previously coached Prva liga clubs FK Zeta, FK Buducnost Podgorica and had two spells at FK Rudar. He was also coach of the national Under-21 team between 2000 and 2002.
Intertoto objective
"I'm delighted with my new choice of club," Rakojevic said. "Cukaricki is well-organised and has many talented players. I look forward to working with them and creating some success, possibly by securing a place in the UEFA Intertoto Cup."
Ivanovic departure
Rakojevic's predecessor, Mihajlo Ivanovic left the club at the end of last season after he had guided Cukaricki to the Druga liga (second division) championship, and secured promotion to the Serbo-Montenegrin top flight.
