Mladina out
Stilinovic, who will be assisted by Robert Rupcic, was appointed after former coach Davor Mladina could not agree terms on a new contract with the club's chairman Dragan Maric. Prior to joining Marsonia, Stilinovic had been in charge of relegated NK Pomorac.
Play-off triumph
Marsonia won promotion after winning a two-legged tie on the away goals rule against NK Inker Zaprešic. They lost 4-3 away before a 1-0 home victory in Slavonski Brod. As well as coaching Pomorac, Stilinovic has also had spells at top-flight teams NK Varteks and HNK Rijeka.
