Serbian international striker Nikola Žigić is "looking forward to scoring goals" after rejoining Real Racing Club on loan from Valencia CF for the remainder of the Spanish season.
Back 'home'
The 28-year-old Žigić is back in Santander after failing to make a single top-flight appearance this term – his figures for last season at the Mestalla were hardly much better as he scored only one goal in three Liga starts and 12 substitute outings. However, the totemic forward is keen to rediscover the form that yielded eleven goals in 32 games for Racing during the 2006/07 campaign. "This club and Santander feel like home," said the former FK Crvena Zvezda player who first arrived on Spain's north coast in the summer of 2006. "I only want to look forward now." Racing, eliminated from the UEFA Cup at the group stage, sit 14th in the Liga table, with Valencia up in fourth place.
