Two-year extension
The Spanish club announced on Tuesday night that they had reached agreement with the 48-year-old after a week of talks, sealing Muñoz's position at the helm for the 2005/06 and 2006/07 campaigns.
Cup success
The former Spanish international and FC Barcelona player led Zaragoza to Spanish Cup glory in his first season at the club, 2003/04, having arrived midway through the campaign.
European exploits
Their 3-2 final victory over Real Madrid CF took the La Romareda team into the UEFA Cup, where they reached the Round of 16. Muñoz's men fared less well in the league, finishing in 12th place. The Zaragoza-born coach had initially wanted a three-year contract, but settled for two after negotiations with club officials.
