Article body
FK Partizan piled the pressure on rivals FK Crvena Zvezda by extending their lead at the top of the Yugoslav first division with a 3-1 away win at FK Zemun on Saturday.
Match postponed
Crvena Zvezda were forced to postpone their match against OFK Beograd after three players were injured following an attack on the club's training ground by a group of disenchanted supporters yesterday.
Lazovic opener
Danko Lazovic, recently called into Dejan Savicevic's Yugoslavia squad for the match against Brazil next Wednesday, headed Partizan into the lead after 41 minutes and Vladimir Ivic doubled the advantage just a minute later. Zvonimir Vukic grabbed a third goal in the 87th minute before Aleksandar Bojanic netted a consolation for the hosts a minute from time.
Apatin stay alive
Basement club FK Mladost Apatin kept their survival hopes alive - but only just - after a late equaliser earned them a 1-1 draw at home to high-flying FK Sartid. Sartid, looking to close the gap on third-placed FK Obilic, went ahead in the 31st minute through Milorad Zecevic. But just as the home side were ready to resign themselves to the drop Miroslav Grumic scored five minutes from time.
Vojvodina miss out
Fourth-placed FK Vojvodina missed the chance to overhaul Sartid after going down to a 2-1 defeat at FK Rad. Goals from Borislav Stevanovic (15 minutes) and Sladjan Nikolic (40) gave Rad a comfortable two-goal lead, which was not under threat until Igor Bogdanovic's last-minute consolation strike.
Worries ease
FK Rudar Plevlja eased their relegation worries with a 4-0 home drubbing of FK Radnicki Kragujevac. An Aleksandar Minic double (16 and 50 minutes) and further strikes from Boris Lukic (81) and Jovic (83) sealed a fine win for the home side, who move up one place above FK Zvezdara into fourth from bottom. Zvezdara are in real trouble at the bottom after losing 3-2 against relegation rivals FK Cukaricki.
Other games
Elsewhere, FK Hajduk Kula beat FK Mladost Lucani 1-0, while FK Zeta notched a 2-1 home win over FK Sutjeska.
