Decision on remaining EURO 2020 venues to be made on 23 April

The UEFA Executive Committee met today in Montreux, Switzerland and took the following decisions in addition to the approval of a new format for the UEFA club competitions as of 2024-25.

The Executive Committee was presented with several options for matches scheduled to take place in the venues of Bilbao, Dublin and Munich where there is currently no confirmed spectators’ attendance.

The committee tasked the UEFA Administration to draw up concrete proposals for a final decision to be taken via videoconference on Friday 23 April 2021.

UEFA Women’s Champions League 2021-25

Ahead of the start of the revamped UEFA Women’s Champions League in the coming summer, which will signify a new era for women’s football, the UEFA Executive Committee has also approved a new financial distribution model and a modernised regulatory framework for the competition. More information on the distribution mechanism and regulatory changes for the further professionalisation of the women’s game will be made available next week.

Appointment of hosts

Host associations were appointed for the following youth championship final tournaments:

• UEFA Women’s Under-17 Championship: Estonia 2023, Sweden 2024, Faroe Islands 2025.

• UEFA Under-17 Championship: Hungary 2023, Cyprus 2024.

• UEFA Women’s Under-19 Championship: Belgium 2023, Lithuania 2024, Belarus 2025.

• UEFA Under-19 Championship: Malta 2023, Northern Ireland 2024, Romania 2025.

Finally, Jaén, Spain, was appointed as the host venue for the Under-19 Futsal EURO 2022.
