Tirana to host first UEFA Europa Conference League final

The UEFA Executive Committee met today via videoconference and took the following decisions:

2022 UEFA Europa Conference League

To appoint Tirana as the venue for the first-ever final of the competition, with the match to be played at the brand-new National Arena in the Albanian capital.

2021 UEFA Nations League finals

To appoint Italy as the hosts for the competitions, with the two semi-finals (6 & 7 October), the third-place match and the final (both on 10 October) to be played at the Juventus Stadium in Turin and the San Siro in Milan. The draw for the semi-finals will take place later today and the match schedule will be available afterwards.

UEFA European Under-21 Championship final tournament in 2023

To appoint Romania and Georgia as co-hosts of the 16-team final tournament with four stadiums in Romania (two in Cluj-Napoca and two in Bucharest) and four stadiums in Georgia (Batumi, Poti, and two in Tbilisi). The opening match will take place in Romania and the final will be held in Georgia.

Ordinary UEFA Congress

The congress was postponed from 2 March to 20 April 2021 in Montreux, Switzerland. The postponement will not affect the candidacy submission deadlines for the UEFA Executive Committee (2 January 2021) or FIFA Council elections (2 December 2020).

Playing of matches in Armenia/Azerbaijan

Following the ceasefire that was agreed between both countries on 9 November 2020 and taking all circumstances into account, it is assessed that the conditions to stage UEFA matches in both countries can now be met.

Consequently, the UEFA Executive Committee decided to remove the ban imposed on 20 October 2020 on UEFA competition matches being played in Azerbaijan and Armenia.
