The CEDB has banned Nurlan Ibrahimov from exercising any football-related activity for life

Following the opening of a disciplinary investigation conducted by an Ethics and Disciplinary Inspector regarding the statements made on social media by the then Qarabağ FK official, Mr. Nurlan Ibrahimov, the UEFA Control, Ethics and Disciplinary Body (CEDB) has taken the following decision on 25 November 2020:

Charges against Mr. Nurlan Ibrahimov:

- Incidents of a non-sporting nature - Article 11 (2) (b) in connection with Art. 11 (1) DR

- Racist behaviour - Article 14 (1) DR

Charges against Qarabağ FK:

- Incidents of a non-sporting nature - Article 11 (2) (b) in connection with Art. 11 (1) DR

- Racist behaviour - Article 14 (1) DR

Decision:

The Control, Ethics and Disciplinary Body has decided:

- to ban Mr. Nurlan Ibrahimov, Qarabağ FK official (i.e. press officer) at the time of the relevant facts, from exercising any football-related activity for life from the date when he was provisionally banned (i.e. 3 November 2020), for the violation of Articles 11 (2) (b) and 14 (1) DR;

- to request FIFA to extend worldwide the above-mentioned life ban;

- to fine Qarabağ FK €100,000 for the violation of Art. 11 (2) (b) and Art. 14(1) DR.
