Latest UEFA Appeals Body decision announced

The UEFA Appeals Body has taken the following decision:

Match: Olympique de Marseille vs. FC Shakhtar Donetsk, 22.02.2024

Decision:

The Appeals Body decides:

1.To order the enforcement of the suspended disciplinary measure imposed by the Control, Ethics and Disciplinary Body in its decision of 22 November 2023, for lighting of fireworks, i.e. order the partial closure of Olympique de Marseille’s stadium (i.e., the Virage Nord) during the next (1) UEFA competition match the club will play as host club.

2.To fine Olympique de Marseille €41,500 for lighting of fireworks.

3.To fine Olympique de Marseille €10,000 for throwing of one firework.

4.To fine Olympique de Marseille €26,000 for blocking of public passageways.

5.To fine Olympique de Marseille €20,000 for use of laser pointers.

6.To fine Olympique de Marseille €10,000 for being responsible for the late kick-off.

7.To warn Olympique de Marseille head coach, Mr. Jean-Louis Gasset, for being responsible for the late kick-off.
