AB decision on CA Osasuna

Updates

Proceedings had been opened in view of the filing of a claim made by the club before the ordinary state courts.

Following the investigation conducted by a UEFA Ethics and Disciplinary Inspector which led to proceedings being opened by UEFA against CA Osasuna in view of the filing of a claim made by the club, CA Osasuna, before the ordinary state courts in Pamplona, the UEFA Appeals Body has taken the following decision:

- To fine CA Osasuna €100,000 and to exclude CA Osasuna from the next one (1) UEFA club competition for which it would otherwise qualify for the violation of Article 11(1) of the UEFA Disciplinary Regulations in conjunction with Articles 61(1) and 62(1) of the UEFA Statutes (i.e. for having failed to respect the exclusive jurisdiction of the Court of Arbitration for Sport (CAS), in Lausanne, by filing a claim before the ordinary state courts in Pamplona). This exclusion is suspended for a probationary period of two (2) years, starting from the date of the present decision.

- To withhold 5% of the UEFA revenues that CA Osasuna may obtain from its participation in the 2023/24 UEFA Europa Conference League, as of the group stage.
