The UEFA Control, Ethics and Disciplinary Body (CEDB) has announced the following decisions which would affect the attendance of supporters to UEFA matches:
Match: UEFA Europa Conference League match Feyenoord v. Olympique de Marseille, played on 28 April 2022 in the Netherlands
Decision:
- To order the partial closure of the Feyenoord stadium (i.e. the entire North Stand, including sectors Q, R, S, T, U, X), during the next one (1) UEFA competition match in which Feyenoord would play as host club and to fine Feyenoord €40,000, for lighting of fireworks.
Match: UEFA Europa League match Eintracht Frankfurt v. West Ham United FC, played on 5 May 2022 in Germany
Decision:
- To order Eintracht Frankfurt to play its next UEFA competition match as host club behind closed doors and to fine Eintracht Frankfurt €80,000, for the invasion of the field of play, throwing of objects, lighting of fireworks and objects, transmitting provocative messages of an offensive nature, blocking of public passageways and insufficient protection of the playing area against intruders. The order to play its next UEFA competition match behind closed doors is subject to a probationary period of two (2) years, starting from the date of the present decision.
Match: UEFA Europa Conference League match Olympique de Marseille v. Feyenoord, played on 5 May in France
Decision:
- To order Olympique de Marseille to play its next (1) UEFA club competition match in which Olympique de Marseille would play as host club behind closed doors and to fine Olympique de Marseille €40,000, for lighting of fireworks and transmitting a provocative message of an offensive nature. The order to play its next UEFA competition match behind closed doors is subject to a probationary period of two (2) years, starting from the date of the present decision.
- To fine Feyenoord €30,000 and to order the enforcement of the suspended disciplinary measure imposed by the Control, Ethics and Disciplinary Body in its decision of 10 December 2021 (DC 35155), for throwing of objects and lighting of fireworks, i.e. to ban Feyenoord from selling tickets to its away supporters for its next (1) UEFA club competition match.
